Jeff graduated from Southwest Texas State University (a/k/a Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas, in 1983 with a degree in accounting and worked for an oil field supply company for several years before joining NCUA in 1987. Jeff started his career with NCUA as an examiner in Houston, Texas. Jeff has held numerous positions at NCUA to include Liquidation Analyst, Loss and Risk Analysis Officer, Supervisory Examiner, Director of Special Actions, Deputy to the President of AMAC, Associate Regional Director for Programs and Associate Regional Director for Operations. Jeff returned to the field as a Supervisory Examiner in 2010. Jeff has been married to his wife Dawn for 42 years and has three sons.

Virginia Whitham is a seasoned speaker and facilitator in leadership development, bringing over 30 years of progressive Human Resources experience to her work. She currently serves as the Chief of Human Resources for Rally Credit Union, where she has been an executive leader for more than a decade. With nearly 20 years in the banking and finance industry, Virginia has a deep understanding of how people, culture, and strategy intersect to drive organizational success.
She is a Certified Senior Professional with both HRCI and SHRM, and a proud graduate of Southwest CUNA Management School, where she now serves as faculty, teaching and mentoring future Credit Union leaders. Virginia also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College, Missouri, and is a recent graduate of the Cardwell Leadership 306 CEO Certification program.
With her extensive background, Virginia brings a unique blend of executive leadership, HR expertise, and industry insight. Her engaging style, humor, and heart inspire audiences to embrace resilience, adapt with confidence, and unlock their full potential in both career and workplace.

April Mobley, CUDE, is the Texas grassroots and PAC director for Cornerstone League. Her areas of expertise include grassroots and credit union advocacy, Advocacy 101 training, and political action committee (PAC) fundraising. She inspires and teaches individuals and groups in credit unions and chapters to become more politically engaged through grassroots and PAC participation. Mobley has worked for Cornerstone (formerly the Texas Credit Union League) for more than a decade as part of the advocacy team and as operations manager at Texas Telcom Credit Union in Dallas. Her experience has given her firsthand knowledge of the “people helping people” philosophy. She was instrumental in creating the UNITE grassroots program and is a lead planner and coordinator of Cornerstone’s premier advocacy events, such as Hike the Hill and governmental affairs conferences. Mobley also serves as Co-Chair on the ACCUL (America Association of Credit Union Leagues) Political Finance Strategy Work Group and is a member of the AACUL Grassroots Strategy Work Group.

Suzanne Yashewski serves as the Regulatory Compliance Counsel for the Cornerstone League. On staff as legal counsel since 2001, Suzanne advocates for credit unions at the state, regional, and national levels in both regulatory and legislative arenas. She also leads the League’s efforts in the operation of Information Central, a division of the League that provides credit unions a hotline and resources to answer compliance questions.
Suzanne is a graduate of Purdue University and Indiana University School of Law and is a noted expert in credit union/banking law, with a background in employment law. Suzanne is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
